The day started early for Jenna with a 6am wakeup call to get started with preparations for the day!
There was a lot to achieve before the ceremony at 1.30pm! Hair and Makeup was the first port of call with The Made up team providing the makeup looks for the wedding party, with the bride doing her own hair and makeup!
The bridal party wore dresses from David’s bridal which they chose themselves, and the flower girls dresses from Monsoon!
On to the main event- The Bride! Jenna chose a dress from Bijoux Bridal from the Ronald Joyce collection- Doris, finished off with shoes from JJ’s house.
The wedding party had bouquets of peonies, roses, eucalyptus and thistles provided by Pollination.

The flower girls look adorable in their little matching outfits and floral crowns!
Jenna then took some time out to go and visit the children and the bridesmaids -her sister Nicola, Grooms cousin Laura, Best friend Sandie and flower girl daughters Poppy and Willow.
The couple enjoyed their first dance to I wanna dance with somebody by Tyler Ward, after which the family partied the night away to music provided by Lee Live and enjoyed a buffet of hotdogs and chocolate tarts!

Alex was supported by his cousin Alexander (The other Alex!) as one best man and his sons Lincoln (joint best man) and Noah.
The men of the family wore kilts by Slaters Menswear, how adorable are Noah and Lincoln?
And now onto the ceremony itself…

The entire day was held in The Caves, with a fairy light canopy across the ceiling to give atmosphere to the event! Coupled with huge bouquets of flowers on the stage to frame the coupe as they said their vows.

Jenna was walked down the aisle by son Noah, to the music of her two-year-old son Miles crying for mummy! Accompanied by the instrumental version of ‘kissing you’ by Des’ree (from Romeo and Juliet)

They were married in a Humanist ceremony by Gina Williams from Fuze Ceremonies. (To which Alex shed a few tears)

Gina told the story of how they met and fell in love; built their family and became the unit they are today. The ceremony was solemnised with a handfasting ceremony with personalised vows followed by Jenna and Alex making promises to each other’s children. Alex’s uncle Jim, who was on ‘miles duty’ read ‘Family comes together’ by Glaedr during the ceremony.

They left the ceremony to the ‘Epic main theme’ from Star Wars as Alex is a massive fan!

The Ceremony was followed by the drinks reception, where Jenna and Alex went for their photos!

Wedding breakfast saw the tables decorated with floral runners, hurricane glasses and candles adding to the romance of the evening!

The tables were arranged in a ‘banquet style’ which meant the couple had perfect sightlines to each guest. Favours were mini gins. Before having the meal, speeches were performed by Alex’s cousin, and Alex which were both well received, tears, and laughs a-plenty!

The cake was made by Mon Ami and consisted of 3 tiers- chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel!

The cake topper is a gorgeous silhouette of the family! Bride, groom and 5 children! Such a great way to celebrate a new family!

The couple enjoyed their first dance to I wanna dance with somebody by Tyler Ward, after which the family partied the night away to music provided by Lee Live and enjoyed a buffet of hotdogs and chocolate tarts!

Gina had this to say about Jenna and Alex’s wedding:

“From the first time I met Jenna and Alex it was clear that they had found someone truly special in each other.
There wedding ceremony was wonderfully personal (and emotional), with each of their five young children playing a special role in their day.
Jenna and Alex chose to symbolise their union as a couple, and as family, with a Celtic handfasting as they made their personal vows to each other and their promises to their adorable children.
It was an absolute pleasure to play a small part in their big day!”
